Directions
Season pork cubes with salt and pepper. Heat cooking oil in a large pot over medium heat. Sear the pork until browned on all sides, then set aside.
In the same pot, sauté the garlic and onions until they become soft and aromatic, about 2 minutes. Stir in the tomato sauce, tomato paste, soy sauce, and water (or broth). Add the bay leaves, then return the pork to the pot. Cover and let it simmer over low heat for about 45 minutes or until the pork is tender. Once the pork is tender, add the potatoes, carrots, and bell peppers. Continue to cook for 15 minutes, or until the vegetables are softened. Stir in the liver spread and green peas (if using). Let it simmer for another 5 minutes to incorporate the flavors. Turn off the heat and stir in the grated cheese. Mix until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes creamy and rich.
Taste and adjust with sugar, salt, and pepper as needed.
